- Almonds 2 cups ;
- Sugar 0.25 cup ;
- Ginger 1 tsp ;
- Honey 1.5 tbsp. ;
- Vegetable oil 1 tsp ;
- Salt 1 tsp ;
- Water 1 tbsp.;
Preheat oven to 170 degrees C (338 F).
Raw almonds are expanded in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 15 minutes.
In a small bowl mix the sugar, salt and ground ginger.
In a saucepan combine the honey, butter and water. Do not heat honey over 60 degrees C (140 F). Shift toasted almonds in the pan. Stir frequently until all the liquid has evaporated and the honey is completely cover nuts.
Sprinkle almonds with sugar-ginger mixture, stir again.
Put nuts in a single layer on parchment paper to cool.
