Honey is bactericidal, its solutions and extracts stop the growth of pathogenic microorganisms. Because honey contain volatiles, which have antibacterial properties, and enzymes, involved in oxidative reactions with the release of reactive oxygen species, which have antibacterial properties. Different honey contains different amounts of these substances and, therefore, has a different bactericidal effect.  Spruce, pine, fir honeydew honeys are the best, also chestnut, less – lime, heather, hogweed and red clover, honeys from white clover and dandelion are not bactericidal.

Of course, honey, like any bioactive component,  can cause allergies, so use this supplement with caution.

Iingredients:

 – A piece of children’s odorless soap – 75 gr.

– Milk – 100 ml.

– Honey – 2 teaspoons

– Base Oil – 3 teaspoons

–  Orange and lemongrass oil – 10 drops.

1. Grate children’s soap.

2. Next, pour 100 ml of hot milk, boiled before, and infuse it for an hour.

3. Make a water bath, addg 3 teaspoons of base oil.

4. Add 1 teaspoon of honey inthe beginning and 1 teaspoon in the end, when the soap has reached the consistency of thick cream.

Honey has one very good feature – it heats a soap so you avoid lumps.

5. If you have thick soap, add a little hot milk, add some cream.

6. Add the orange and lemon grass oil, immediately remove the soap from the water bath and pour into molds. If soap is frozen – put it back in the water bath until melted and again pour into molds.

7. Leave the soap to cool for a couple of hours.

8. Put soap on a napkin and leave it for at least a couple of days, ideally 10 days. Better to put in a dark place with no direct sunlight.

One more soap recipe

The process of making soap at home at first glance looks complicated, but really it is a very interesting and exciting experience. At first it is better not to choose a complicated recipe. We recommend mild baby soap with cream and soap scrub with oatmeal.

Rub soap through a sieve, put in a water bath. Warm milk, add 1 tablespoon of honey, dissolve it and pour it into the soap flakes. The ratio of liquid and soap should be 1:1 or 1:1.5. It is better to pour less in the beginning, and if necessary add remaining milk. Stir constantly, waiting for the complete dissolution of the soap, bringing to the boil is not necessary. When the mass is smooth, like a cream, remove from the heat, cool for a few minutes and add the basic and essential oils. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of base oil (olive, grape seed, castor) and a few drops of essential oil. If you pour too much of base oil, soap will not foam, for example, castor oil, even if it is little, does not reduce foaming.

The last thing to add is 3 tablespoons of oatmeal. Flakes should not steam quickly, so add them in a cool mixture. Carefully stir, pour into molds, previously lined with cling film.
